We are hiring!

We are on the search for a casual (2 days p/week) individual who is creative and motivated, and has a true love for styling and interiors.

This would be perfect for someone who is confident with product styling and creating beautiful content (through photos/videos/reels/blog writing for our social channels) of our bone inlay and mother of pearl furniture/homewares collection.

You would have an eye for styling and how our handmade pieces complement other home decor - but also be confident with speaking to customers in our showroom/responding to customer enquiries if required whilst our co-founder is on mat leave. Having a background in customer service or retail at some stage is preferred.

As a small business, you will likely wear many hats. You must be happy to be quite flexible in your role, but also keen to grow with us as we continue to grow in the bone inlay space.

Example tasks in this casual role will include:

- Product styling for photoshoots + help to plan/come up with ideas & spaces for these shoots
- Helping to create content for our social media accounts
- Assistance with creating Instagram stories
- Interior design, styling and product blog content writing + ideas
- Face-to-face retail customer service in our showroom and assisting in times of high volume customer enquiries
- An additional skill we’d love to look at next year is - confidence for outreach on a number of upcoming projects. (May involve speaking to other brands about collaborations, stylists for media opportunities, etc).

Mahlia Interiors prides ourselves in taking care of our customers/clients to help them find a new dream product for their homes - that’s our number one priority. We are flexible with work hours and are very supportive of women returning to work after bubs!

Ideally, this individual will be based in our showroom in Moorabbin on Tues & Thurs from 9.30-3.30pm, however we’d love some flexibility with these times (some weeks may be a few more hours and others may be less). Looking for a November start, with some time off over the Xmas/January holidays - as we all need a breathing break after 2020/2021!
